Privacy policy

This is a translation; the German version is legally binding.

Who is responsible?

The controller for data processing on this website is Alessandro Messuti, Tirelli's Finest Home Food, Kreuzbergstraße 29, 10965 Berlin, Germany, phone 0163 4907237, email info@tirellis.com.

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you open it, the server processes technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and operating system, referring page) in order to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure, stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are only kept for a short time and deleted automatically. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer to the USA is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).

No cookies, no tracking

We don't use cookies, analytics or advertising services, or social media plugins. Fonts, videos, maps and images are hosted on our own server; no data is sent to Google or other third parties when they load. So that the welcome animation doesn't play again on every page, the site stores a single flag without any personal data in your browser's session storage; it is deleted when you close the tab.

Booking via WhatsApp or phone

The booking form doesn't store or send anything. It only builds a message that you send yourself in WhatsApp. From then on, the privacy policy of WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Ltd., Meta) applies. We only use your details (name, date, time, number of people) to handle your booking (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed for that. The same applies if you call us or send an email.

Links to Google Maps and Instagram

The map and social media profiles are simple links. Only when you click on them do you leave our site, and the provider's privacy policy applies.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Just write to us at the address above. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority – in Berlin, the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin.
